RECREATION |
Great recreation is what the Christina Lake area is all about. Its warm,
clean water is legendary for swimming, boating,
and water sports.
The mountains surrounding
the lake have an abundance of hiking and biking
trails; over one quarter of a million dollars has been spent developing
them into some of BC's finest. The Trans
Canada Trail runs right through the area, connecting it to the Atlantic,
Pacific and the Arctic Oceans.
The nearby Kettle River is a great mild kayaking run, and local outfitters can get
you into the river or out riding the trails on horseback if that's what
you like. Golfers can choose between two excellent
courses; Christina Lake has both an 18 hole course and a 9 hole Par 3.
Winter
brings a quiet hush to the landscape, and skiers,
boarders and snowshoers are finding Christina Lake to be the best
for a winter getaway. Cross country trails are abundant, snowshoeing is
very accessible, or you can shred at nearby Phoenix or Red Mountain or
try some untouched powder while Cat Skiing. There are so many possibilities,
you'll want to move here . . . . after all, that's what we did!
