The Warmth of Fall

After the crowds of summer depart, the warmth lingers through Fall with soft sandy beaches and brilliant blue sky days. The lake is still great for swimming and its' glassy surface beckons the water enthusiast. Autumn brings a quiet to the valley and many people find it is the best time of year at the Lake, with lots of sunny days and clear starry nights. Fall weddings and family reunions are very popular in our senic surroundings - ask about seasonal packages for your event.

The air is crisp and invigorating for the early morning jogger or mountain biker. Golfing is great with lots of good choices for tee times. Rustle through the leaves on horseback and enjoy the spectacular autumn colours. Hike or bike one of our numerous trails and gaze up at the golden larch trees framed against the sky; chances are you'll have the trail all to yourself.

Winter is Wonderful

The diverse territory and abundant snow allow for a great variety of wintertime activities such as cross-country skiing or winter hiking and snowshoeing. Endless miles of snowmobiling opportunities are claimed to be some of the best anywhere, and are only minutes away.

Downhill ski, snow board, or even back country ski at the nearby unbeatable terrain of Red Mountain Ski Resort. Discount lift passes are available with accommodation/ski packages at various establishments.

Spring

Spend colourful Spring days fishing for giant rainbows and bass, exploring the Trans Canada Trail, or enjoying golf when people are still skiing in Alberta. The surrounding mountains offer an abundance of uncrowded hiking and biking trails, as well as spectacular rivers for white water kayaking, canoeing and fishing.

Spring at the lake is ideal for weddings, family reunions or business gatherings. Early travelers beat the rush of summer and find they have their choice of great accommodations and recreational opportunities.

Spring can be warm and sunny, with some splendid weather in May. The bubbling streams and creeks fill the lake with vibrant new life, and everywhere the scent of new growth is in the air.
