Christina Lake is a recreation paradise!

So you're not into hiking or water-skiing? The thought of hurtling down a trail on a mountain bike makes you break out in a cold sweat? Check out the recreational facilities at Christina Lake for a variety of activities for all ages. None of them require wearing spandex!
Round up some friends for a game of basketball or roller hockey at the "slab," located beside the Community Hall on Park Road. With new outdoor lights, those games don't have to end at sunset. In the winter months the "slab" becomes an ice rink for skating or hockey. There is even a cheery fire pit. It's not uncommon to find groups of families enjoying a sunny afternoon skate and a mug of hot chocolate.

Grab your skateboard and try out the new half-pipe ramp, also located beside the Community Hall.

Catch a ball game at the Community Hall baseball diamond. There are numerous games and tournaments throughout the summer. Pick a team and cheer them on. No game? You and your friends can practice.

Tennis anyone? Christina Lake has three courts just across the street from the ball diamond. They are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tennis whites are definitely optional.

Into lawn bowling? The Christina Lake Lawn Bowling Club has six well-groomed lanes. Located across the road from the tennis courts, they are open from May on into the fall. When you're in town, contact a club member to arrange a game.

It could be argued whether or not going to the Farmer's Market is a recreational activity, but if you're in the vicinity of the Community Hall on Wednesday mornings in the summer you can drop in and pick up some veggies or fruit for post game snacking, or some local crafts to take back home.
