Community Hall
90 Park Street
250-447 9251
The Christina Lake Community Hall is a central hub of the Christina Lake
Community. First built in 1948 with major renovations in 2000, it is
a charming community center, with hardwood flooring and a gorgeous view of Christina Lake. Much of the work
to initially build and renovate the community hall was completed by volunteers,
showing the wonderful community spirit here at Christina Lake. The financing
for the renovation in 2000 was also thanks to funding from a Community
Spirit Grant.
The hall is located on Park Street, across from the tennis courts
and next to the baseball diamond. Facilities include a large main hall,
two smaller conference rooms, a full kitchen, bar, washrooms, plus an impressive garden and custom bocce pit around back.
The community hall hosts events such as town meetings, bazaars, community
dinners and dances, bridge and youth clubs, seminars and conferences,
birthdays, weddings and funerals. It is currently the home of
the Christina Lake Stewardship Office, and the United (9:30AM) and Catholic (11:00AM) churches hold their Sunday services here. The "Slab" next to the hall is used by the local youth for activities such as basketball, skateboarding and street hockey.
Even during our quiet winter season, the hall is in use most nights of the week. Weather permitting, the slab is turned into a community ice rink where families gather for bon fires, hockey, skating and games.
